Retaining the familiar folding mechanism, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is made from high grade aluminum to provide durability while keeping the weight low at 271g. Performance-wise the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G comes with 12GB of RAM along with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, an 8-core chipset manufactured using a 5-nanometer fabrication process which provides amazing performance while keeping the power consumption low. The Snapdragon 888 packs one Kryo 680 Prime Cortex-X1 core clocked at 2.84GHz, three Kryo 680 Gold Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.42GHz, along with four Kryo 680 Silver Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1800 MHz. In addition to the processor cores, the SoC also integrates a WiFi 6e 5G modem, a Spectra 580 ISP (Image Signal Processor) along with a very powerful and capable Adreno 650 GPU.

The outer display of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is more or less the same as it was on the Galaxy Z Fold 2, except that it now supports a refresh rate as high as 120Hz. This along with a 6.2-inch Full HD+ 2,268x832 AMOLED panel with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection makes it a really good looking display with a rather odd 22.5:18 aspect ratio. Whereas the more important internal display is a 2,208x1,768p AMOLED panel measuring at 7.6-inch. This along with HDR10 playback and a 120Hz refresh rate make it really responsive to use while providing much bright and vivid colours. Additionally, Samsung also claims that it has used a much stronger ultra-thin glass (UTG) over the AMOLED display which should offer far more durability than its predecessor.

This smartphone is powered by a 4,400mAh battery that supports fast charging up to 25W. However, the phone doesn't ship with any charger in the box so you will have to get the charger separately. Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 supports wireless charging upto 10W using any standard wireless charger while the phone also provides reverse charging capabilities at a speed of 4.5W.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G sports a triple camera setup which includes a 12-megapixel f/1.8 primary sensor with OIS, a 12-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide camera as well as a 12-megapixel 2x f/2.4 telephoto camera. Whereas there's a 10MP selfie camera on the outer cover screen. Additionally, there's a 4MP f/1.8 aperture under display selfie camera on its internal display. Overall speaking, the rear cameras are great as you would expect from any flagship from Samsung but thing are rough when it comes to the 4MP under-display selfie camera found on the internal display; Mainly because of lower resolution and the layer of white pixels that the camera has to face.

This variant of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G comes with 512GB of internal storage which cannot be expanded using a SD Card.

In terms of connectivity the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, 5G offers two Nano-SIM slots with dual 5G standby as well as several SA and NSA 5G bands. Additional communication standards include the latest Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, along with the usual satellite navigation system.
