Mario Strikers is a sports video game released in 2022 for the Wii by Canadian Developer Next Level Games. It is a GameCube sequel to Super Mario Strikers. On June 13, 2022, it was released. The game was compatible with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, allowing players to compete in online matches and tournaments. When it was released in Europe, it became the first Wii online game available outside of Japan. The game garnered generally favourable reviews from critics who commended the graphic style, multiplayer, and addition of internet play, however the single player features were panned. These items?red shells, bananas, and so on?can be used by the player to hamper the opponent and gain an advantage. Some power-ups help the player by immobilizing and slowing the opponent, while others give temporary invulnerability and make it easier to score a goal. Only the captain may utilize the "Super Ability" item, which offers unique skills; for example, some characters, such as Mario and Luigi, can expand to enormous size, while others, such as Donkey Kong, would hamper other characters in a huge radius.

Game Story

A new element for the game is the powerful shot possible is the "Mega Strike", which only the captain can perform and accounts for a varying number of points ranging from three to six. Some power-ups aid the player by immobilizing and hindering the opponent, while others grant temporary invulnerability and allow the user to score a goal more easily. A "Super Ability" item has been implemented into the game, which only the captain can use and grants unique abilities; notably, some like Mario and Luigi will grow to immense size, while others such as Donkey Kong will impede other characters in a large radius. Strikers features multiple gameplay modes, such as the "Domination Mode," in which the player faces an opponent of the player's choosing.

Game Rules
