Beyond a Steel Sky is a cyberpunk science fiction adventure game developed by Revolution Software, Published by Microids and authored by Charles Cecil. The game was released on 21st December 2021. Set 10 years after the events of the 1994 video game Beneath a Steel Sky, players take on the role of Robert Foster as he returns to Union City in search of a stolen child, only to discover that the city's new paradise status is not what it appears to be. The game was designed using the Unreal Engine 4, with a focus on cel-shaded 3D visuals and comic book-styled text boxes.

Game Story

Beyond a Steel Sky is set in a far-future Earth where megacities like Union City exist in a planet devastated by nuclear war and natural calamities. While those who live in such cities are subject to major corporations' laws and views on society, those who live outside of them in the vast wastelands (referred to as The Gap) live within tribal communities that survive on trading, hunting, and other skills, with such people referred to as Gaplanders by city dwellers.
