A New Xiaomi Curved Display Phone could be in the works as per a fresh patent filing. Xiaomi seems to be working on a new curved display smartphone. The latest smartphone could be a quadrilateral curved smartphone with no physical buttons. The patent was filed at CNIPA, as discovered by Oyprice. Let’s take a look at what the device has to offer.
Xiaomi Quadrilateral Curved Display Phone Design
The patent was filed on 6th July 2021 and was published recently. Talking about the front, the device has a quadrilateral curved display compared to an ordinary curved smartphone. The handset has a USB Type-C port, SIM tray, and a speaker layout at the bottom.
However, what differentiates it from other curved phones is there are no physical buttons on the handset. So, we expect to see the gesture button in full glory. The device features a circular dual-camera setup at the rear with a LED flash.
Unfortunately, little else is known about this particular curved smartphone by Xiaomi at this moment. It’s questionable whether Xiaomi will actually launch a device with this design or not.
On a different note, another latest patent by the Chinese tech giant suggests that a foldable device will be equipped with Pen support. The design is quite similar to Huawei’s Foldable device design. However, it confirms that Xiaomi Foldable smartphones will get Pen support in the future.
This device could be a successor in the Xiaomi Mix Fold series. This would be the first time Xiaomi will offer a stylus/pen in its device for a more creative and professional experience.
