Xiaomi has been setting new limits when it comes to fast charging. In May this year, the company set a new world record by unveiling 200W wired charging and 120W wireless charging. Fast charging is one of the areas where Xiaomi focuses the most. Now, it seems like the company is working on a new wireless charger for smartphones. The patent filed by Xiaomi on CNIPA reveals, how it will look like.

The design is pretty much similar to what we see have seen already in some of the wireless charging solutions. The upper part of the charger is inclined inward, which hints that the smartphone will have to be placed horizontally to the magnetic-enabled small bump. It has a type-C that will be used to connect the charger to the main source.

As of now, we don’t know how fast this new wireless charging can fill up a smartphone’s battery. We’ll get to more about the device when it get passes through multiple certifications or through any leak.

In related news, Xiaomi is just a couple of days away from the unveiling two most awaited devices – Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 and Mi Pad 5. Both the products are set to launch in China on August 10. Recent leaks revealed that the Mi MIX 4 will feature under-display selfie camera, which will the be the first from the brand. The smarthone is teased to have Ultra Wideband technology (UWB) and curved panel.
