Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 with Stylus Support Confirmed to Launch on August 10 – Xiaomi is all set to launch its new series of tablets in China on August 10 called the Mi Pad 5. Along with this, Xiaomi will also launch a new smartphone, the Mi Mix 4, second-generation OLED Smart TV, and a smart speaker. Now let’s take a look at what to expect from the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Specifications (Expected)
Xiaomi is expected to launch 3 models from the Mi Pad 5 series – base model the Mi Pad 5, the Mi Pad 5 Pro, and the Mi Pad 5 Lite. All three models are said to feature a 10.95-inch IPS LCD screen with 2k resolution, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a 120Hz refresh rate. As for the software they are expected to run on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box.
As per the previous leaks, the base model Mi Pad 5 is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, and the Mi Pad 5 Lite will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC. As for the Pro model, it is said to be powered by the same SoC from the base model with added 5G connectivity.
As for the cameras, all the models are said to come with a dual-camera setup at the rear with Mi 11 like design as revealed by Mukul Sharma. The lite model is said to come with a 12MP primary sensor, the base model is said to come with a 48MP primary sensor, and the pro model is also said to come with the same sensors as the base model.
As for the battery capacity, we expect an 8,720mAh battery on the base model with 67W fast charging support and the lite model with 33W fast charging support. As for security, all the tablets are said to come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. We also expect stylus support for the tablets and a metal body as seen in the announcement poster.
