Xiaomi launched Civi phone on September 27 in the Chinese market. It is a China-exclusive device, and the company won’t bring it to other regions. Xiaomi Civi was released starting at 2,599 Yuan (~Rs 29,800). It went on sale today for the first and exceeded a whopping 200 million yuan (approx Rs 230 crore) within just 5 minutes. Xiaomi’s Product Manager, @Cici_老魏 revealed the sales figures and thanked everyone for their recognition and trust.
Surprisingly, the Xiaomi Civi is not the company’s high-end phone. Rather, the Civi series mainly focuses on design, cameras, and youth. The Xiaomi Civi is equipped with Snapdragon 778G chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. It features a clean camera module on the back that includes a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. The centered punch-hole cutout is the home for 32MP selfie snapper.
Xiaomi is mainly targeting women for the Civi phone with its beautiful design and good camera capabilities. Specifically, the phone is said to capture excellent portrait images. The mid-range phone is equipped with “pixel-level skin Rejuvenation Technology” to retain the true-texture of phone and minor details like moles, dimples, as well as adds beautification to the images.
Xiaomi Civi packs a 6.55-inch 3D OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support. It is backed by a 4,500mAh battery and supports 55W fast charging through an USB Type-C port. Xiaomi has managed to keep the device weight at 166g for a lightweight feeling.
