Apparently There’s a Fix For Windows 11’s Most Annoying Bug

There's a Fix That Brings Back Drag and Drop on Windows 11 Taskbar

Since the release of Microsoft’s Windows 11 users have reported a huge list of bugs and issues but the most annoying issue of all was Microsoft killing support for drag and drop on the taskbar, which was a handy way to open files in certain apps or pin shortcuts to the taskbar. In Windows 11, if you drag a file or folder to the taskbar, an alert icon appears preventing users from performing the task.

However, don’t you guys worry as apparently now there’s a fix that brings back the drag and drop functionality to Windows 11 and it work just the way it did on windows 10, we have setup a guide explaining how to get the same on your computer and how to make it start automatically until Microsoft fixes the bug.

  • Open the application upon completing the download, and you are now all set. You can now drag and drop files between app icons just the way you did with Windows 10.
  • Apart from this, you would also want the program to start automatically whenever you start your Windows 11 PC. To do that, you will need to right-click on the Windows11DragAndDropToTaskbarFix icon in the system tray and choose ‘Configure’.
  • Upon clicking on configure you will see a notepad window appear on your screen, in that windows you will need to edit the file where it says 0 to 1, this creates a registry entry that specifies the system to start this app when windows starts up.
