Acer will be entering the Smart TV market in India soon according to our source, 91mobiles.com with insights from Ishan Agarwal. Acer is well-known for its ultrabooks, laptops, and gaming monitors as well.
These Smart TVs will range from 32 inches up to 70 inches screen sizes. They will be powered by Android TV OS and will support quite a few OTT apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime video, etc. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, and HDMI connectivity will be available in these TV. Let’s take a look at the leaked specifications.
Specifications
Acer’s 32-inch TV will be HD-ready with a 60Hz screen, 1.5GB of RAM, and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. 32-inch models will be available in frameless design and also standard design variants. 42-inch variants will be Full HD 1980×1080 pixels resolution and a 60Hz screen.
The other models namely the 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, 58-inch, and 70-inch models will be available in 4K resolution. They are named Acer 43-inch frameless 4k Ultra HD Android TV, Acer 50-inch frameless 4K Ultra HD Android TV, Acer 55-inch frameless 4K Ultra HD Android TV, Acer 58-inch frameless 4K Ultra HD Android TV, and Acer 70-inch frameless 4K Ultra HD Android TV. The resolution will be 3840×2160 pixels. These are again 60Hz panels and with 2GB RAM and a contrast ratio of 5000:1.
The prices of the TVs are not yet known. Considering Acer will have to compete with the well-established brands, they are expected to launch these TVs at competitive prices. We will know more details next month when they are officially launched.
