WhatsApp Web, Desktop Are Getting Drawing Tools With the New Update

WhatsApp is getting a new update on its web and desktop apps that will bring drawing tools to the app. The new update allows users to add emojis, text, and stickers to the image before sending it to others. The feature is already available for the mobile app and is now coming to the desktop versions as well.

According to a report from WaBetaInfo, the new Drawing Tools for WhatsApp Beta and Desktop is bundled with WhatsApp beta version It also brings new emojis to the app which was announced in April this year. 

Notably, the new version of WhatsApp Web and Desktop also allows users to add stickers to the images. The new editing tool also allows image rotation and cropping. The ‘view once‘ feature can be also be used while using the photo editing tools, which is present to the right of the text field.

According to the report, WhatsApp has just started rolling out the photo editing tools. So, initially, it will be available for a limited number of users. Soon, it will be rolled out for all the users. To get the new features, update WhatsApp on your Android, iOS, desktop, and WhatsApp Web. 

WhatsApp is actively working to bring new features to the instant messaging application. In recent months, the company rolled out a couple of new features including a much-awaited multi-device feature, view-once feature, new calling interface for iOS, joinable group calls, and more. Recently, a bunch of new emojis were spotted in the latest version of WhatsApp beta. These are the same emojis which was released by Apple in iOS 14.5 update.
