Reliance Jio is in the market to partner with many smartphone brands to launch ‘Jio exclusive’ phones in India. Jio will provide users a device with companies like Vivo, Lava, Karbon, etc, with discounted prices and offers like OTT subscription, shopping benefits, one-time screen replacement. However, Jio Exclusive smartphone will only work with the Reliance Jio SIM Card installed in the device. Jio has not yet announced anything officially but some sources have told ET Telecom that such a deal is under work.

Jio has partnered with Vivo for Jio Exclusive smartphones. Vivo launched the Vivo Y1s last week in India that came with a Jio lock-in offer that provides benefits worth Rs.4,550 by recharging Rs.249 or above. Rumors suggest that the ‘Jio Exclusive’ smartphone will be priced at Rs.8,000. Companies like Lava and Karbonn already offer entry-level Android smartphones, partnering with a company such as Jio will reduce their price making it a win-win situation.

Reliance Jio has partnered with a Chinese firm iTel to sell low-cost devices at an affordable price of Rs.3000-4000. With the launch of Vivo Y1s, Jio exclusive phone will start to make their way to the Indian market, we can expect more device with a similar deal to launch soon.
