Vivo has introduced a new variant of the Vivo Y52s in China, dubbed the Vivo Y52s (t1 Edition). The new smartphone packs in some really interesting specifications on paper including 5G connectivity. It is, for all intents and purposes, a Vivo Y52 5G with a new paint job and one new piece of hardware. The Vivo Y52s (t1) packs in dual rear cameras, a high refresh-rate screen, a large battery with fast charging support. As of now, the smartphone is currently only available in China, and there’s no official confirmation on when it will be made available worldwide.
Vivo Y52s (t1 Edition) Price:
In China, the Vivo Y52s (t1 Edition) costs RMB 1,999 (approx INR 22,000) and is available via JD.com. It comes in three colour options: Titanium Grey, Coral, and Gradient. The phone is available in a single variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

As mentioned previously, the Vivo Y52s (t1 edition) is a refresh with minor changes to the Vivo Y52s. There’s a significant difference between the two smartphones. Under the hood, the Vivo Y52s (t1) utilizes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC, while the Vivo Y52s is fulled by a MediaTek chipset. Everything else is the same, including the 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. There’s an 8-Megapixel selfie camera module positioned in the water drop notch on the front.
We get dual camera setup at the back: a 48-megapixel primary lens along with a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Given that quad rear cameras are nearly industry standard, especially among Chinese OEMs, this setup is somewhat perplexing. Other features of the Vivo Y52s (t1) include a 5,000mAh battery with 18W rapid charging, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, 802.11 b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS.
