Vivo has launched the Vivo Y12s (2021) edition, an upgrade to last year’s Vivo Y12s. The smartphone features an HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and is powered by the Snapdragon 439 SoC. There are dual rear cameras along with our much-loved 3.5mm headphone jack. Here’s everything you need to know about the newly arrived Vivo Y12s (2021).
Vivo Y12s (2021) Specifications
The newly arrived Vivo Y12s features a 6.51-inch IPS LCD, HD+ display with a screen resolution of 720×1,600 pixels, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC, paired with 3GB of RAM. There is also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics and security.
As for the optics, there’s a dual rear camera setup on the rear comprising of a primary 13-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens. On the front, there’s an 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor, with an f/1.8 lens. The phone runs on Android 11 with Funtouch OS 11 on top.
The phone offers 32GB of onboard storage to go with which is further expandable via a microSD card through a dedicated slot. Other connectivity options on the Vivo Y12s (2021) include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
Finally, the phone draws its power from a massive 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. Dimensions of the phone include: 164.41×76.32×8.41 mm and weighs 191 grams.
Vivo Y12s (2021) Price
The Vivo Y12s has been priced at VND 3,290,000 (~ Rs. 10,500) for the only variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone is being sold in two in Vietnam through the e-commerce site FPTShop in two colors: Ice Blue and Mysterious Black. However, the company has not shared any details regarding its international availability.
