Vivo has introduced its latest Vivo Y12A smartphone in Thailand, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC. The phone is a slightly revised version of the Vivo Y12s, which was released in India in January. The Vivo Y12A is a budget phone with dual rear cameras and a large 5,000mAh battery as highlights.

The Vivo Y12A has a 6.5-inch HD+ (7201,600 pixels) IPS LCD panel with a waterdrop-style notch for the single selfie camera unit. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC, which is paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage expandable via a microSD card.
The operating system runs Google’s Android 11 with the firm’s own skin of FunTouch OS 11 on top. It has a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged via a Micro-USB port. According to the company, it can provide up to 16.3 hours of HD movie playback.

As far as the camera is concerned, the Vivo Y12A has a dual-camera setup that includes a 13MP main sensor and another 2MP sensor. The phone’s front-facing camera is an 8MP unit hidden inside the waterdrop-style notch.
A Micro-USB port, 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi, and Bluetooth are among the connectivity options. The device also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and support for facial recognition via the front camera for security.
Vivo Y12A price, availability
The new Vivo Y12A costs THB 4,499 (approximately Rs 10,500) for the single 3GB + 32GB storage model. Customers can buy it in Blue and Green shade options from popular e-commerce site Lazada.
