Vivo X80 Listed on Google Play Console With Dimensity 9000 SoC and 8GB RAM

The awaited Vivo X80 flagship series is expected to launch in the coming weeks. The company has not yet teased its arrival. However, recent rumours suggest that it could be unveiled on April 25 in China. Past leaks suggested that only the Vivo X80 Pro will get Dimensity 9000 SoC. But, a listing of the Vivo X80 on the Google Play Console shows something else.

According to the Google Play Console listing of Vivo X80 spotted by MySmartPrice, the smartphone is powered by a MediaTek chipset codenamed “MT6983”, which is the powerful Dimensity 9000 SoC. It is built on a 4nm process that includes one prime Cortex-X2 core clocked at 3.05GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores clocked at 2.85GHz, and four Cortex-A510 efficiency cores clocked at 1.8GHz.

Further, the listing also tells us that the Vivo X80 will have an 8GB RAM option. It will feature a FullHD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) resolution display with 440 PPI pixel density. The Google Play Console listing also has a front render for the Vivo phone that shows a centred punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.

Vivo is expected to announce three devices under the X80 series: Vivo X80, Vivo X80 Pro, and Vivo X80 Pro+. The top-end X80 Pro+ is said to be fueled by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, while the other two phones might get a Dimensity 9000 SoC. According to a recent leak, the standard Vivo X80 may sport a 6.78-inch Samsung E5 AMOLED display with a FullHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is said to have a 4000+ sq. mm vapour chamber for better heat dissipation.
