Vivo released the X60 series of smartphones in India earlier this year, and it now appears that the X70 series may as well be released subsequently this year. According to the latest reports by Gizmochina, the line-up will debut in India in September of this year.

According to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the remaining IPL matches will be held in the UAE in September and October. Vivo is an IPL sponsor, so it’s not surprising if the company plans to launch its new flagship Vivo X70 series phones in conjunction with the tournament.

Vivo X70 Series Specifications (Expected)

There aren’t as many details about the Vivo X70 series. As of now, a 6.56-inch Full-HD+ (1080×2376 pixels) AMOLED screen with a pixel density of 398ppi is expected on the device. The phone is expected to have a punch-hole design with thin bezels, as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner for secure biometric data authentication.

Under the hood, the Vivo X70 series is expected to power the Snapdragon 888 processor, along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It will be powered by Android 11 and have a 4,500mAh battery with fast-charging support.

As far as the camera is concerned, the Vivo X70 series is expected to come with a quad-camera setup that includes a 48-MP main sensor, an 8-MP ultra-wide lens, a 5-MP macro camera, and another 13-MP camera. A 32-MP selfie camera is expected on the front.

Other than that, the connectivity options will include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, 5G, and a Type-C port.

Expected Pricing of Vivo X70 Series

The Vivo X70 series’ official pricing information will be revealed at the time of launch, which is expected to take place in September. Nevertheless, based on the expected specifications, the entry-level X70 model should start at around Rs. 46,000.
