Vivo X70 series is finally confirmed to launch in China on September 9. It will mark the debut of the company’s self-developed ISP called “Vivo V1”. The lineup is expected to include Vivo X70, X70 Pro, and X70 Pro+. The launch poster also teases the top-end X70 Pro+ image, which is pretty similar to the renders we saw last week. It also reveals that the phone will come in Black and Orange color options.
Vivo X70 and X70 Pro are said to have a 6.5-inch display, while the X70 Pro+ may have a slightly bigger 6.7-inch display. The phones may also have a centered punch-hole cutout on the front to house the selfie camera. Vivo X70 is said to feature ZEISS-branded triple rear cameras, whereas the X70 Pro has a quad-camera setup with the ZEISS logo. Except for the vanilla X70, the Pro models are said to have a curved AMOLED display.
The launch poster confirms that Vivo X70 Pro+ will come with a quad-camera setup on the back. The camera bump is pretty unique which extends to the right. As of now, it’s not unknown whether it is a secondary display or its just cosmetic.
Vivo X70 and X70 Pro are rumored to be powered by Dimensity 1200 SoC, while the top-of-the-line X70 Pro+ may get Snapdragon 888 chipset. Vivo X70 Pro reportedly carries model number V2105 which was recently spotted on Google Play Console with a 1080p display, 440ppi pixel density, Android 11 OS, and 8GB. It was also spotted on Geekbench which confirmed that the phone also has a 12GB variant.
Vivo X70 Pro+’s Google Play Console listing also revealed that it has a FullHD+ display, 8GB RAM, and Snapdragon 888 SoC. The phone may support 66W fast charging, as suggested by the 3C certification.
