Vivo Announces Android 12 Beta Eligible Devices List and Update Roadmap for India

Vivo will update 31 devices in India with Android 12 beta, starting next month.

Vivo, like other OEMs, is also refreshing its custom skin (Funtouch OS) with the latest version of Android. The company has released a list of eligible Vivo devices and a rollout schedule to update select devices to Android 12 beta in India. According to the rollout plan, Vivo will send Android 12 beta to a total of 31 handsets in India starting next month.

The list of eligible Vivo devices for Android 12 beta includes smartphones from all the lineups offered by the company – Vivo X, V, Y, and S series. One can easily guess, Vivo X70 Pro+, the company’s latest flagship phone will be the Vivo’s first phone in India to receive the Android 12 beta by November-end. However, the X70 Pro will start receiving the update from the end of January 2022, alongside V21e, V20 2021, V20, Y21, Y51A, and Y31.

From the March 2022-end, Vivo X50 Pro, X50, V20 Pro, V20 SE, Y33s, Y20G, Y53s, and Y12s will start picking up the update. In April 2022, Vivo S1 and Y19 users will get a chance to taste the Android 12.

The next set of devices includes Vivo V17 Pro, V17, S1 Pro, Y73, Y51, Y20, Y20i, and Y30. These devices will start receiving the Android 12 beta from the end of April 2022. It was Vivo’s rollout plan for Android 12 beta. So, the stable version might start hitting Vivo devices by the end of the first half of 2022.
