Twitter has modified fleets to allow users to add fun stickers to them without having to use another app. Although the feature’s absence did not render fleets useless, it did provide users with a way to personalize their messages. Users can now add GIFs and Twemojis — the social network’s term for its emojis — to their fleets, according to an announcement tweeted by the website’s help account.
When users post a fleet, all they have to do is tap the smiley icon next to the text icon to pull up all of Twitter’s animated stickers and emoji. If users have a specific graphic in mind, they can use the search bar at the top of the interface to find it. Since slapping stickers on ephemeral content has long been a feature on Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook Posts, it may encourage some skeptics to offer Twitter’s take a shot if they enjoy using the feature.
According to Twitter, fleet stickers will be available on both Android and iOS. However, it’s possible that it’s not yet available to everyone: we don’t see the option to add stickers in our account, indicating that the website is still in the process of rolling it out to all users.
