Now You Can Turn Your Samsung Galaxy Watch4 into a Walkie Talkie

Samsung recently unveiled their Galaxy Watch4 lineup in their Unpacked event. Now, you can use the Watch4 as a walkie-talkie (via XDA Developers). Samsung released an app on the Playstore using which two users with the Galaxy Watch4 can pair their devices and use them like walkie-talkies.

Samsung hasn’t mentioned any range so we don’t know whether this works only in close proximity or not. Also, older generations of Samsung Galaxy Smartwatches are not compatible with this application, let alone third-party companies.

To set up the application it is recommended that the Galaxy Watch4 is paired to your smartphone. After setting it up, you can independently use it. This can be a great tool of communication for people going on treks, car drives into areas where there is no cellular reception, and many more things but that can only be said after we know the range these will offer.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic come in 4 sizes total and all of them have great AMOLED screens paired with Samsung’s new Exynos W920– the 5nm SoC. This not only makes the Watch4 and Watch4 Classic more powerful but also more power-efficient.

The Watch4 starts at USD 249 for the Bluetooth only 40mm watch and USD 299 for the LTE Variant of the same. The Watch4 Classic comes in at USD 349 for the 42mm Bluetooth-only variant.

Samsungs Galaxy Watch4 was made in partnership with Google and for the price, the Galaxy Watch4 is one of the best smartwatches you can get out there which runs on Wear OS. Even though it has a One UI skin on top of it, all Google applications are redesigned for Wear OS and they are already running on the Watch4.
