On May 24th, OnePlus launched the OnePlus TV 40Y1 in India. The newly released smart TV will join the company’s other five smart TVs. The company’s latest product is part of the OnePlus TV Y range.
The software company has made it clear from the start that the 40Y1 is primarily aimed at first-time buyers of smart TVs and, as such, has a low price tag. The OnePlus Connect software can be used to power the TV.
The OnePlus TV 40Y1 has a 40-inch LED-backlit LCD monitor with a resolution of 1920 x 1090 pixels and a 93 percent DCI-P3 color gamut; additionally, the display screen has a 93 percent screen-to-body ratio and is encased in a plastic bezel.
The TV comes with a stand that users can use to position the TV on; however, if users choose to mount it on a wall, they must purchase the mount separately. The smart TV is outfitted with 20W speakers that support Dolby Audio.

The OnePlus TV 40Y1 has a 40-inch Full HD LED screen that covers 93 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The Gamma Engine picture enhancer will is also included with the TV. OnePlus has also emphasized the new TV’s nearly bezel-less nature, claiming that it provides a smooth viewing experience. It runs on OxygenPlay, which is built on Android TV 9.
The TV is also fuelled by an undisclosed 64-bit processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. It also includes OnePlus Connect, as well as support for Chromecast, Alexa, and Google Assistant. Other than that, it has an access to the Google Play Store and comes preloaded with applications like Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube.
The TV reportedly has two 20W speakers with Dolby Atmos support. One Ethernet port, an RF link input, one AV In, two HDMI ports, one digital audio output, and two USB ports will be available on the OnePlus TV 40Y1. The integrated Content Calendar on the new OnePlus TV also includes automatic reminders of the latest TV shows and movies.
The TV has single-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, 2 x HDMI, 2 x USB, RF, optical digital audio port, 3-in-1 AV composite, and Ethernet networking and ports.
OnePlus TV 40Y1 Price in India
The OnePlus TV 40Y1 is priced at INR. 23,999 (approximately $329) in India, but the company is selling it at a discounted price of INR. 21,999 on Flipkart only on the day of sale. The smart TV is also available for purchase on the OnePlus online store, in addition to Flipkart.
