The Launch Date of the Xiaomi 12 Pro in India has Been Confirmed

Xiaomi is going to launch their new flagship smartphone called the Xiaomi 12 Pro in India soon. Launch date of the smartphone has been confirmed.

Xiaomi has officially disclosed the launch date for the Xiaomi 12 Pro. Xiaomi India shared the release details of the new Xiaomi flagship in a tweet. This information is coming weeks after the company originally teased the smartphone with a teaser. The Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G will be available on April 27, according to an official tweet from the company. 

The company’s teaser emphasizes the primary camera lens, which is part of the triple-lens arrangement. The phone is made up of three distinct modules, each of which has a resolution of 50 megapixels. It comes with a wide-angle camera, an ultra-wide-angle camera, and a telephoto lens. The Xiaomi 12 Pro was originally made available in the United States in March of this year. In the company’s native nation of China, the gadget was released in December of last year. The Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G includes the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and a 50-megapixel main camera. It also has up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. In India, the Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G will compete with the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G, which launched last month.

Xiaomi has set up a special page on its official Mi.com website for the debut of the Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G. According to the website, the phone’s specs in India would be consistent with the model offered in other regions. The Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G went on sale in the United States with MIUI 13 with a 6.73-inch WQHD+ (1,440×3,200 pixel) Samsung E5 AMOLED display with 1,500 nits of peak brightness and a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM power the phone. It includes a triple rear camera configuration with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX707 main sensor, as well as a 50-megapixel portrait and ultra-wide camera.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G has a 32-megapixel camera sensor on the front for selfies and video chats. The Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G supports UFS 3.1 storage up to 256GB. It has 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, and a USB Type-C connector as connectivity options. An Infrared (IR) blaster is also available.

A 4,600 mAh battery powers the entire package and supports 120W cable charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The smartphone is available in three colours namely blue, purple, and grey, but we don’t know if all of them will be accessible in India.

Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G  Price and Availability

The Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G pricing in India is expected to start at Rs. 65,000. Official information has not yet been released. However, the phone was introduced in China for a starting price of CNY 4,699 which is approximately Rs. 56,200 for the basic model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The phone is also available in an 8GB + 128GB variant for CNY 4,999 which is about Rs. 59,800 and a top-end 12GB + 256GB model for CNY 5,399 which is approximately Rs. 64,500.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G was released worldwide countries with a starting price of $999 approximately Rs. 76,100 for the 8GB + 256GB variant.

Xiaomi issued a ‘Save the Date’ teaser on Tuesday to tell the press about the upcoming launch of the Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G in India. The launch date has been set for April 27. Xiaomi also announced the launch officially in a second tweet. It is presently unknown if the Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G India debut would be virtual or real.
