Messaging service app ‘Telegram” launched Voice Chat 2.0 in which users can have live audio-based discussions with unlimited participants in a particular voice room. The update came after the rising popularity of the first-ever audio-based discussion app called ‘Clubhouse’ which shook the whole tech ecosystem as big tech executives like Elon Musk and Bill Gates went public on the app to talk to people.
But the ‘Clubhouse’ app was limited to only iOS users with invite-based participation which gave some space to other apps to take advantage of. Later on, Twitter introduced its own audio-based chat-room called “Spaces” in December after Clubhouse went viral in mid-2020. But, Twitter accomplished taking the opportunity to launch the feature for Android users as well.
