TCL 20Y with Helio A25 SoC, 48MP Triple Cameras, and 4000mAh Battery Launched: Price, Specifications

Here's everything you need to know about TCL 20Y.

TCL has launched another budget-friendly phone dubbed TCL 20Y, after the TCL L10 Pro last week. The phone has been launched in South American and African markets. It offers triple rear cameras, MediaTek SoC, and a 4,000mAh battery.

TCL 20Y: Price, Availability

TCL 20Y has been priced at GHS 900 (~Rs 10,900) in Ghana for the sole 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. It will be sold in Argentina for ARS 28,999 (~Rs 21,700). The phone is offered in two colour options – Twilight Blue and Twilight Black. 

TCL 20Y is already up for purchase in the countries via JumiaTCL websiteFravega, and Megatone. The company has not announced, whether the device will be available to other regions.

TCL 20Y specifications

TCL 20Y flaunts a 6.52-inch 720×1,600 pixels FullHD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a waterdrop notch to house the selfie camera. It is driven by a MediaTek Helio A25 chipset which is coupled with 4GB RAM. The phone comes with 64GB storage, which is further expandable up to 512GB through a microSD card slot.

For rear photography, TCL 20Y features a triple camera setup that includes a 48MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth shooter, and a 2MP macro lens. There’s an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calling. Rear camera features include noise removal, face tracking, multi-frame, EIS video stabilization, pro mode, Google Lens, and low light video.

TCL 20Y houses a 4,000mAh battery and is unlikely to support fast charging. It features a rear-side fingerprint scanner. The device has a dedicated button for Google Assistant. On the software front, TCL 20Y boots Android 11 out of the box. Connectivity features include Bluetooth v5, 4G, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C port, and GPS.
