Spotify is renowned for the personalized song recommendations it offers. They keep adding features to make it better with every update. Now, Spotify has announced another new feature called ‘Enhance.’ It is described as “a new feature for Spotify Premium users to easily add personalized recommendations to their playlists.”
Yes, this feature is only available to premium users. You can turn it on and off from your playlist without needing to dabble into the settings menu. Once turned on, your playlist will be added with up to 30 songs. These are recommended songs based on what genre of music your playlist consists of.
You are in total control of your playlist. If you like a recommended song, just press the “+” icon to permanently add it to your playlist. These are going to be additions to your playlist and will not replace any existing songs.
This is the list of regions where the Enhance feature is available to Spotify Premium users:
Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland Israel, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, U.K., and the U.S.
It is available to only these regions as of today but will be rolling out to other regions in the future. And it is safe to say it is out for a lot more regions than mentioned above as I already have this feature as of yesterday, and I live in India.
Spotify also recently announced the Blend Playlist, a feature that allows you to invite your friend wherein Spotify would create a playlist for you and show you how much your music preferences match. Learn how to use Blend Playlist.
Spotify sure does add new features time and again, but it is yet to roll out one of the most anticipated updates which they introduced back in February, “Spotify Hi-Fi.” This is basically Spotify providing CD quality, lossless music. Apple Music is already providing lossless music at zero additional cost.
What are your thoughts on the new Enhance feature, and are you also waiting for Spotify Hi-Fi?
