Sony Xperia Ace 2 With MediaTek Helio P35 SoC Launched: Price, Specifications

Sony Xperia Ace 2 unveiled in Japan, brings 5.5-inch screen and Helio P35 chipset

The Sony Xperia Ace 2 has been launched recently in Japan as the successor to the Xperia Ace launched in May last year. The new smartphone packs in the Helio P35 chipset, sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution, and has a dual rear camera setup. Let us take a look at the price and specifications of the Sony Xperia Ace 2.

The Sony Xperia Ace 2 Sony Xperia Ace 2 flaunts a 5.5-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 720×1,496 pixels with a notch on the front housing the selfie camera. There’s a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC beneath, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Note that the storage is further expandable via a microSD card (up to 1TB). The phone boots Android 11 out of the box.

As for the optics, there’s a dual rear camera setup comprising of a primary 13-megapixel sensor coupled with a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Flip the phone and you’ll find an 8-megapixel selfie shooter for selfies and video calls.

Other connectivity options on the smartphone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, 4G, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. Sensors on board include an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and accelerometer. 

There’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner mounted on the power button. Under the hood, there’s a 4,500mAh battery powering the device. 

The Sony Xperia Ace 2 has been priced at JPY 22,000 (~ Rs. 14,800) for the single 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model. The phone is available in Black, Blue, and White colors. Sony has not yet announced whether or not the Xperia Ace 2 will be available internationally.
