Qualcomm Snapdragon 895

Qualcomm launched their Snapdragon 888 last year. This year Snapdragon 888 successor is likely to be called Snapdragon 895. The name 895 is not official yet. The Model number of this Qualcomm Flagship SoC is SM8450. The latest flagship from Qualcomm is said to be based on Samsung’s 5nm architecture.

As usual, this new SoC will use ARM’s latest cores. Let’s take a look at Snapdragon 895 Specifications.

Snapdragon 895 CPU Specification

According to the previous reports, Qualcomm Snapdragon 895 will use a 1+3+2+2, a four-cluster architecture for the first time. In this four-cluster the most powerful core, the Kryo 780 Supercore is based on ARM Cortex X2. The Kryo 780 core is based on ARM Cortex A710. The Kryo 780 energy efficiency large core is based on ARM cortex A510 (High-Frequency). The Kryo 780 energy efficiency small core is based on ARM cortex A510 (Low-Frequency).

ARM Cortex X2 is the successor of ARM Cortex X1. ARM Cortex A710 is the successor of ARM Cortex A77. And the ARM Cortex A510 is the successor of ARM Cortex A55. Cortex X2, A710, and A510 are based on ARM’s latest 64bit V9 instruction.

Geekbench 5 Score of Qualcomm upcoming Flagship SoC (895)

Qualcomm Snapdragon 895 Geekbench single-core score is around 1250. And the multi-core score is around 4000. According to the Geekbench 5 Score Snapdragon, 895 Single-core performance is about 10% higher than the Snapdragon 888. The single-core score is on par with Apple A13 SoC. The multi-core performance is increased by 6% only. The multi-core score of 895 is on par with Apple A14 SoC.

Snapdragon 895 is expected to be released at the end of this year. As per some previous reports, Realme GT 2 and the Mi 12 will be the two early adopters of this Flagship SoC.

We may see some improvements on Snapdragon 895 Score, later, as Qualcomm will try to improve their Flagship SoC.
