Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888+ Details Leaked

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888+will be based on a 4nm process and Qualcomms latest X65 5G modem.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ was recently spotted on Geekbench with a 3GHz Cortex-X1 core clock. Now a tipster Evan Blass has shared some key details and model number of Snapdragon 888+ via Twitter. “SM8450 is Qualcomm’s Next-Gen premium system-on-chip (SoC). It has an integrated Snapdragon X65 5G Modem-RF system. It is fabricated on a 4nm process.”

According to the leaks, the SM8450 aka Waipio will be based on a 4nm process and packs the latest Qualcomm X65 5G modem which supports wireless download speeds of up to 10Gbps compared to 7.5Gbps supported by X60 5G modem equipped with Snapdragon 888 SoC. The leaks also suggest the Snapdragon 888+ will be fabricated with a brand new Kryo 780 CPU built on ARMv9 chip architecture. The GPU has been upgraded to Adreno 730 compare to Adreno 660 found on Snapdragon 888 Soc.

The Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 supports Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity. The leak also includes a new Adreno 665 video processing unit and a Adreno 1195 screen processing unit. The camera interface will be based on the brand-new Spectra 680 ISP, which is still under wraps.
