With the launch of the latest flagship from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 888 was booming the market as every smartphone manufacturer was desperate to be the first brand to launch the flagship smartphone powered by Snapdragon 888. Now a brand new chipset Snapdragon 888+ Spotted on Geekbench with 3Ghz Cortex-X1 Core Clock, Qualcomm follows this update schedule religiously as the launch of the vanilla flagship chipset in December and the superior Plus chipset in July, so it only makes sense to believe the chipset listed on the geek bench is nonother but the Flagship Snapdragon 888+ Processor.

To recall, the vanilla Snapdragon 888 is clocked at 2.84Ghz, so the superior plus variant is overclocked X1 performance core at 3.0Ghz. The listing also reveals four low-powered A55 cores running at 1.8Ghz and three Cortex-A78 clusters running at 2.4Ghz, with this kind of arsenal, the Snapdragon 888+ benchmarks a score of 1171 in the Single-core test and 3704 in the Muti-core test. This is quite a boost compared to the vanilla Snapdragon 888 Soc, identical to what we saw last year with Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 865+.

There’s no word on whether the Snapdragon 888+ will have any further enhancements, though last year’s Snapdragon 865+ did have a modest GPU clock hike and an enhanced FastConnect 6900 chip. More information about the next Snapdragon 888+ is expected to appear in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
