Samsung Releases One UI 4.0 For Galaxy S21 Lineup With Android 12 Features

Samsung One UI 4.0

Samsung finally released UI 4.0 based on Android 12. In September, Samsung announced One UI 4.0 Beta, and now the public build is rolling out. Like all Android phone manufacturers, Samsung will be rolling out One UI 4.0 first, for its flagships, the Galaxy S21 lineup, which other devices will follow.

A significant change brought by One UI 4.0 is cosmetic. Like Android 12, One UI 4.0 focuses on cosmetic changes. Users can play around with customizations of widgets, colour pallets, new emojis, stickers, and Gifs.

Wallpaper theming, something we just discussed today to be missing in Samsung devices, well, is here (oops). As we mentioned in the article, manufacturers wouldn’t have the same abilities as Material You. Samsungs Wallpaper Theming is close to Material You but is not AI-generated. Users themselves have to dive into wallpaper settings and choose from the themes suggested by the device based on the wallpaper.

Now, security is a rising concern by the day as more and more of our time is spent online rather than offline. And so, the new privacy-focused feature is a Privacy Dashboard. Samsung says,

“From alerting you to when an app is attempting to access your camera or microphone, to a new privacy dashboard that brings all your settings and controls into one convenient place, with One UI 4, monitoring and controlling your privacy settings is simple.”

Another notable feature of this update is Samsungs extended ecosystem of devices and third-party apps. Samsungs partnership with Google ensures a seamless experience when using applications like Google Duo. The company guarantees a seamless experience while using the Galaxy Z series, Galaxy Tab, or the Galaxy Watch.

Other devices to receive the One UI 4.0 update soon are Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, S20 FE, Note20, Note20 Ultra, S10, S10e, S10+, S10 5G, Note10, Note 10+, Galaxy Fold, Z Fold3, Z Flip3, Z Fold2, Z Flip, Z Flip 5G, Galaxy A82 5G, A72, A52, A52 5G, A52s 5G, A42 5G, and Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+. Availability may vary by region.

Galaxy Watch series also receives an update that brings new watch faces and new and enhanced health features.

How do you like the One UI 4.0 update? If you use a Galaxy S21 device, are you going to update immediately or wait for reviews? We would suggest that if you use the phone as a daily driver, wait for a while for the reviews. And if you use a Galaxy S21 device as a secondary device, go ahead, update and share your experience.
