Samsung will be looking to line up the flagship tablet in three versions as they do with their S series smartphones. A report claims that we should expect three Galaxy Tab S8 devices this year during the summer.
Last year, when Samsung unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, everyone was in awe. From design to features, Samsung made sure they ticked all boxes. And now this year, with the launch of the Galaxy Tab S8, the company looks to take the Tab series to a new level and set new standards.
Samsung looks to launch the Galaxy Tab S8 into three versions this year: Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Lineup Specifications
Starting with the Galaxy Tab S8, the tab is 6.3mm thin and weighs 502g. It has an 11-inch 120Hz LCD display, a dual rear camera system setup(13 MP + 5 MP), an 8 MP selfie camera alongside a side-mounted fingerprint reader. We get 8GB of RAM with 128 or 256GB of storage, quad speakers, and an 8,000 mAh battery with 45W charging with an S pen.
The Galaxy Tab S8+ is slightly bigger and weighs 575g and is 5.7mm thick. The tab gets a 12.4-inch 120 Hz OLED display with an under-display fingerprint sensor and also an upgrade to the battery with a 10,090 mAh battery. Otherwise, the specifications are almost similar to that of its younger sibling.
Finally, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will have a 14.6-inch 120 Hz OLED display with dual front-facing cameras (8 MP wide + 5 MP ultrawide) and an under-display fingerprint sensor. Again we get a battery upgrade with a 12,000 mAh battery. The tab will come in two versions, one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, the other with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The tab weighs around 650g and is 5.5mm thin. The rest specifications remains the same as the Tab S8+. The Ultra is also said to come with a 92% screen-to-body ratio, and the slimmest bezels ever seen on a tablet.
Although we do have almost all the specifications for the lineup, still there is no word on which SoC will it feature.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Lineup Prices
As reported by GSMArena, the prices are intended for the Korean market and hence are a direct conversion to dollars and rupees. There will be some variations in the prices when the devices will get launched globally.
The Galaxy Tab S8 starts at KRW 829,000 ($743 or Rs 53,788) with Wi-Fi, KRW 929,000 ($833 or Rs 60,303) with 4G, and KRW 1,029,000 ($923 or Rs 66,819) with 5G and an optional keyboard accessory priced at KRW 198,000 ($177 or Rs 12,813).
The Galaxy Tab S8+ starts at KRW 1,149,00 ($1,030 or Rs 74,565) with Wi-Fi, KRW 1,249,000 ($1,120 or Rs 81,080) with 4G, and KRW 1,349,000 ($1,210 or Rs 87,596) with 5G an optional keyboard accessory priced at KRW 220,000 ($197 or Rs 14,261) .
The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra starts at KRW 1,469,000 ($1,317 or Rs 95,352) with Wi-Fi, KRW 1,569,000 ($1,407 or Rs 1,01,857) with 4G, and KRW 1,669,000 ($1,497 or Rs 1,08,373) with 5G an optional keyboard accessory priced at KRW 320,000 ($287 or Rs 20,776) .
