Samsung’s next flagship Galaxy Tab series is in the works, which is expected to launch in early next year. The Galaxy Tab S8 series will succeed the Tab S6 series, which debuted last year. This time, the South Korean giant will also bring an ultra variant – Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Ahead of the official announcements, we have got our first look at the renders of Galaxy Tab S8 and Tab S8 Ultra, revealing the entire design.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra
Popular leakster @Onleaks, in collaboration with 91Mobiles, shared the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra CAD renders, giving an early look at what the device will look like. The very first thing we notice is the notch. It will create a room for the selfie camera. The bezels are quite slim around the display.
According to the report, only the ultra variant will feature a notched display. As per the leaked renders, there’s no notch in the standard Galaxy Tab S8 (see below). However, we are yet to see the renders of the Galaxy Tab S8+. Moving ahead with the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra renders, it has a vertical dual-camera setup on the back. Below the camera module, there is a magnetic strip for the S-Pen.
The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra reportedly has a 14.6-inch display. It has a USB Type-C port and quad speakers. Unfortunately, there is no place for a 3.5mm headphone jack. According to the report, the renders are not complete, as it has several things missing, including the magnetic connectors on the left side of the frame.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8
@OnLeaks, in partnership with Zouton, shared the renders of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, which is quite familiar to its predecessor. It has a slightly thick notch than the Ultra model, with no room for the notch. With an 11-inch display, it could be the smallest in the Tab S8 series, as the Galaxy Tab S8+ will supposedly carry a 12.5-inch display and the Ultra model with a 14-inch display.
The Galaxy Tab S8 is said to feature an LCD panel with 1600×2560 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The dual rear camera setup may include a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary sensor, same as in Tab S7. Right below the camera island, it also has a magnetic strip for the S-Pen.
The tablet is said to be powered by Snapdragon 888 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, further expandable up to 1TB using a microSD card slot. It could pack an 8000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging over a USB Type-C port.
