Samsung is all set to launch its latest flagship series in early 2022, and some specifications of the upcoming S22 phones have been leaked. The series will have three devices, the S22, S22+, and the S22 Ultra. We already knew support for 65W fast charging will be present, but now we have fresh leaks about its display, battery and cameras.

These leaks come from the popular leaker Ice Universe. The S22 should feature a 6.06-inch” LTPS FHD+ panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, which is slightly smaller than the 6.2-inch display we saw on the S21. Similarly, the S22+ will feature a 6.55″ LTPS FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is 0.2-inches smaller than the S21+. The S21 Ultra is the only device to get an LTPO QHD+ display, with 120Hz. It is the only device to have a 0.01-inch larger display than the S21 Ultra, coming in at 6.81-inches.

As for the cameras, both the S22 and S22+ will feature a triple camera array consisting of a 50MP f1/1.55 main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 12MP 3x optical zoom camera. The S22 Ultra, however, comes with a 108-megapixel primary sensor, and three 12-megapixel units for telephoto, periscope telephoto, and ultrawide. The cameras are staying nearly identical to the S21.

The S22 gets a 3800 mAh battery, which has been reduced from the 4000 mAh on the S21. The S22+ has a 4600 mAh battery which is lesser than last year’s 4800 mAh, while the S22 Ultra retains the 5000 mAh capacity of its predecessor. A shrink is the battery size on the regular and “+” model may signal towards battery efficiency!

The S22 series should be out in early 2022, but that is all the leaks we have so far. An area the S series needs to focus on is pricing, but it is still unclear what that will be for the upcoming launches. Nevertheless, they are expected to be jam-packed with features and it’s definitely going to be an exciting launch!
