Samsung has started sending the October 2021 security update ahead of the month’s arrival. It seems that the South Korean giant is making a trend to release the security patch even before the month arrives, as seen in the last couple of months. The October 2021 security update is debuting on the company’s latest flagship Galaxy S21 series.
According to a Sammobile report, the new software update for Galaxy S21 / S21+ / S21 Ultra is rolling out in Germany and the Philippines. It will expand to more markets in the coming days. The update is bundled with the firmware version G991BXXU3AUIE.
Samsung has not detailed the October 2021 security patch. So, we don’t know which security and privacy vulnerabilities are getting patched with the update. Usually, it gets announced in the first or second week of the month. Samsung Galaxy S21 series users in the specified regions have started receiving the October 2021 security update over the air (OTA). To manually check for the new update, navigate to Settings >> Software updates.
Samsung Galaxy S21 is the company’s latest flagship phone which was released earlier this year. The company has already confirmed the arrival of Android-12 based One UI 4.0 skin, which will open for beta testing for the Galaxy S21 series users soon.
