Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go has been launched by Samsung today. It is a very affordable Chromebook based on Chrome OS. It is a new addition to Samsung’s Chromebook lineup which consists of the Galaxy Chromebook and the Galaxy Chromebook 2. Let’s take a look at what the Galaxy Chromebook Go has to offer.
Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go flaunts a 14-inch TFT HD (1,366×768-pixel resolution) panel. Under the hood, it is powered by an Intel Celeron N4500 with 6W TDP, one of the new processors from the Jasper Lake series, paired with Intel UHD Graphics.
As for the memory, the Chromebook offers options to choose from 4GB and 8GB LPDDR4X RAM along with options to choose from 32GB, 64GB and 128GB of eMMC storage options. Users can also expand their storage using a microSD card via the dedicated slot available on the laptop. Onboard the device we have a 720p HD webcam and a digital microphone for video chats and conferences. The device is also equipped with dual stereo speakers with 1.5W output each.
The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go is fueled by a typical 42.3Wh battery which can be charged through a 45W USB Type-C adapter included in the box. As for the ports it includes two USB-C ports, a USB 3.2 port, a Nano security slot, a headphone plus microphone combo jack, and a Nano-SIM slot in the LTE version. As for the connectivity, it features LTE, Wi-Fi 6, 802.11 ax 2×2, and Bluetooth v5.1. It measures 327.1 x 225.6 x 15.9mm in dimension and weighs 1.45kg.
Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go Price and Availability
Samsung hasn’t yet revealed the price and availability of the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go but we can expect an announcement soon. However, we can expect the laptop to start at $299 for the base model. The Chromebook will come in just one color Silver. The laptop is also expected to launch in few days in Asia, Europe, and North America.
