Yesterday, during the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung revealed the new Galaxy Book Pro, the Galaxy Book Pro 360, Galaxy Book Odyssey along with the 15.6-inch Galaxy Book. However, the company also secretly put up a fresh new laptop up on its website.

This year’s Galaxy Book Flex 2 Alpha features a similar 2-in-1 convertible design to last year’s Galaxy Book Flex Alpha. The successor’s only major change is with the SoC, Intel’s 11th Gen CPU. The variant with the Core i5/1135G7 processor costs $849 while the one with the Core i7/1165G7 is $1,049. Note that the Core i5 variant is available with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the Core i7 version packs in 16GB RAM coupled with 512GB of storage.

The new laptop with Intel’s Iris Xe graphics should outperform last year’s laptop with Intel UHD graphics. The laptop is equipped with a 13.3-inch QLED touchscreen display, which is capable of Full HD resolution and a peak brightness of 600nits. Besides a metal body and a backlit keyboard, this notebook flaunts a large glass track pad, a 720p webcam, dual-array microphones, and 1.5W speakers with support for Dolby Atmos audio.

Under the hood, it is powered by a 54Wh battery and comes bundled with a 40W AC adapter for charging the laptop. The new Galaxy Book Flex 2 measures 13.5mm in thickness, and just 1.18kg in weight. You can buy it in black and white color options and runs Windows 10 Home.

This device includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 for wireless connectivity. There are two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port, and HDMI. The device also comes with an SD card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Galaxy Book Flex 2 Alpha will come pre-installed with the Galaxy ecosystem applications, such as Link Sharing, Live Wallpapers, Quick Search, Screen Recorder, Samsung Gallery, Samsung DeX, Samsung Recovery, Samsung Flow, Samsung Notes Samsung Settings, Studio Plus, and Samsung Update apps.
