Samsung has officially announced a new mid-range smartphone dubbed the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G. This device actually shares mostly the same specifications as the Samsung Galaxy A52 but sports an upgraded Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G chipset instead of the Snapdragon 750G chipset that powers the Galaxy A52 5G.

The Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G comes in Awesome Black, Awesome Violet, Awesome Mint, and Awesome White colors. In terms of pricing, the Galaxy A52s 5g starts at GBP 409 (USD 562 / Rs 41,800 approx.) for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version. The pre-order will start on Samsung’s official website from August 24 and will be available from 3rd September. We can expect this smartphone to launch in India, but it will be cheaper than the UK and Europe pricing.
Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G Specifications
Starting from the front, the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G features a 6.5 Super AMOLED display with an FHD+ screen resolution of 2400×1080 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 800 nits brightness. Dimension wise the Galaxy A52s 5G measures 159.9×75.1×8.4 mm and weighs 189 grams.
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 778G processor with Adreno 642L GPU. The Galaxy A52s 5G packs up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card up to 1TB. We can expect a higher-end variant of the handset which ships with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage in India.
As for the photography, the Galaxy A52s arrives with a quad-camera setup at the back comprising of a 64MP main camera with OIS, 12MP ultra-wide angle camera, a 5MP depth sensor, as well as a 5MP macro camera. This will be rounded out by a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
To keep its lights on, the phone draws power from a 4,500mAh battery that comes with support for 25W fast-charging. Connectivity features of the device include 5G SA / NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, NFC, and USB Type-C port.
Other than that, the phone also gets an in-screen fingerprint scanner, Dolby Atmos, Stereo speakers, and Samsung Pay. On the software side, the phone is shipped with OneUI 3.1 based on Android 11 out of the box.
