Samsung holds the majority of shares in the foldable phone market with its Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold lineups. But, as new players are coming, the South Korean giant will have to keep improving its foldable phone to stay dominated. The Galaxy Z Fold3 5G launch last year faced a lot of heat from users as the device could not completely hide the under-display selfie camera. While Xiaomi’s under-screen camera solution in Mix 4 is impressive.

According to a reliable tipster Ice Universe, Samsung will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset inside the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4. It is an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 built on TSMC’s 4nm process. The fourth-generation of Samsung foldable phones are expected to carry the same design language with several display tweaks.

A third foldable phone from Samsung Incoming

Samsung is rumoured to be working on a new foldable phone, which might launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4. According to a report from Galaxy Club, the third foldable from Samsung is known as “N4”. Here “4” indicates that it belongs to the fourth generation foldable.

While there’s not much known about this new foldable yet, a recent rumour suggests that it is code-named “Diamond”. We don’t have a design yet. However, rumours surrounding the device suggests that it might have a scroll design like the Oppo X 2021 rollable concept phone. Some rumours believe the device has a three-panel fold design or a slidable design.
