A few concept sketches and renders of Realme’s upcoming GT 2 Fold foldable smartphone have surfaced online, which could very well be the first ultra-premium flagship smartphone from Realme.
As Realme, the subsidiary of the Chinese business conglomerate BBK Electronics has shown interest in entering the ultra-premium phone segment earlier with at least one smartphone that is supposed to be priced somewhere in the neighborhood of Rs 60,000 to 80,000 for some time now, and Realme GT 2 fold might very well be that device.

If the leaked renders are accurate, we can expect the device to feature a 6.5-inch AMOLED display on the outside with an inward folding mechanism that reveals a large 8-inch AMOLED display when fully opened.
Apart from the display, the device is also speculated to feature a USB-C port on the bottom, accompanied by a punch hole selfie camera on the front and two 50 MP cameras paired with two other smaller sensors and an LED flash on the rear. But we still don’t have any information regarding the smartphone’s processor, battery, or other features at the moment.
However, Realme is expected to enter the foldable smartphone market at a very competitive price of around USD 1200 (Approximately INR 89,000), severely undercutting major foldable from the likes of Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3, and the Huawei Mate X2, which all are priced well above the INR 1,00,000 price point.
It would be fascinating to see a foldable device like this at such a price point, but sadly enough, we have no confirmation of the imminent launch date or timeframe. Hopefully, we’ll hear more about it in the coming weeks with the release of Realme GT 2 Pro.
