Indian telecom giant – Reliance Jio recently brought the JioPhone Next 5G phone into the market. It was a much-hyped affordable 5G phone from the brand that couldn’t impress users and reviewers. The company is now looking to expand its product portfolio by launching its first laptop, which is rumoured to be called Reliance JioBook.
A leaked image of the device surfaced online earlier this year. After that, we didn’t hear anything about the JioBook. Now, it has been spotted by MySmartPrice on the benchmarking site Geekbench, revealing key specifications and hints that it could be heading towards the launch.
Reliance JioBook gets spotted on the benchmarking site with the model number NB1112MM. According to the listing, the laptop is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT8788 chipset, paired with 2GB RAM.
The processor runs at a base frequency of 1.99GHz. In the Geekbench 4 test, the Reliance JioBook has scored 1,178 points in the single-core test and 4,246 points in the multi-core test. The device will boot Android 11 OS out of the box.
Rumours are that the Reliable JioBook will be available in multiple variants. It was previously spotted on India’s BIS certification website with model numbers NB1118QMW, NB1148QMW, and NB1112MM. One of them has appeared today on Geekbench, and the details about the other two are still unknown.

According to past leaks, one of the variants of JioBook will pack Snapdragon 665 processor. We can expect the laptop to support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE, and HDMI connectivity.
Reliance Jio is currently silent about the launch of its first laptop. Earlier, It was expected to launch alongside the JioPhone Next, but that didn’t happen. Hopefully, we will get to know more about the Reliance JioBook in the coming weeks.
