Redmi K50 high-end series is launching soon in China. Yesterday, one of the company’s officials revealed that only the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will be released at the February 16 launch event, and the rest of the K50 series phones have been reserved for later. It seems that the company might not take too long to unveil the Redmi K50, K50 Pro, and K50 Pro+ as the devices have now received approval from China’s 3C certification authority. Also, a pocket-friendly Redmi 10A has been seen on the certification site.
The Redmi K50, K50 Pro, and K50 Pro+ have been spotted on the 3C certification site with model numbers 22021211RC, 22041211AC, and 22011211C, respectively. The top-end Redmi K50 Pro+ is listed to support 120W fast charging, whereas the K50 and K50 Pro have a maximum of 67W charging support. While all the K50 series phones support 5G connectivity, the Redmi 10A is not a 5G-ready device as it is listed on the certification site 4G and 10W charging support.
According to past reports, the top-end Redmi K50 Pro+ could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The vanilla Redmi K50 might get Snapdragon 870, K50 Pro might get the Dimensity 8000 SoC, and the K50 Pro+ is tipped to pack Dimensity 9000 chip. Xiaomi is said to have worked to improve the thermals inside the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. The company claims a 40% better heat dissipation and the phone has a 4,860 sq. mm vapour chamber.
