Redmi K50 series is reportedly in the works, which will launch as a successor to the K40 series launched earlier this year. Similar to its predecessor, the upcoming K50 lineup is likely to include three models – Redmi K50, K50 Pro, and K50 Pro+. Ahead of the official announcement, key specifications of Redmi K50 Pro+ have been tipped by a Chinese tipster, Bald Panda.
The top-tier Redmi K50 Pro+ is tipped to be powered by the unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset. It is said to boast AMOLED display with a centered punch-hole cut out for the selfie camera. The device is said to feature 108MP main camera and a fingerprint sensor under the display.
The tipster claims that Redmi K50 Pro+ houses a 5,000mAh battery. It is rumored to feature 67W fast charging. The 108MP main camera is said to be joined with a periscope or telephoto lens.
Xiaomi is yet to break its silence about the Redmi K50 series. However, the company might follow a similar launch timeline for K50 series as it had for the K40 series. So, we can expect the Redmi K50 series to go official in early next year.
Qualcomm has scheduled the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2021 between Nov 30 – Dec 2, where it will unveil the Snapdragon 898 chipset. Around that time, we can expect an official announcement about the K50 series.
