The rebranded Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition, which made its debut in China yesterday, could be released in India as the Poco F3 GT. Both smartphones, according to a source, have the same model numbers. The Chinese company has given no details about the handset. The Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition comes with retractable shoulder buttons, tuned audio, and a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC with up to 12GB RAM.
Kacper Skrzypek, a tipster, tweeted a screenshot of a code indicating that an upcoming smartphone with the model number M2104K10I and the marketing name Poco F3 GT will be released. The phone’s model number is said to be the same as the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition. Previously, various benchmarking sites, including Master Lu, revealed information about a Redmi smartphone with model numbers M2104K10AC, M2102K10C, and M2104K10C, which is thought to be the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition.
As you can see, the suspected Poco F3 GT’s model number appears to be similar to those used on various benchmarking platforms. It’s likely that the letters ‘C’ and ‘I’ stand for China and India, respectively. Furthermore, if the rumoured Poco smartphone is a rebranded Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition, the specifications should be identical.
Expected Specifications of Poco F3 GT
If the Poco F3 GT is indeed a rebranded model, we can assume that the Poco F3 GT and Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition have similar specifications. The Poco F3 GT could run Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 layered on top. A 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support could be included. The MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage could power the smartphone. It may include JBL-tuned speakers and vapour chamber LiquidCool technology with white graphene to keep the phone cool under load.
The Poco F3 GT could have the same camera setup as the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition when it comes to photography. It could have a triple rear camera configuration, with a 64-megapixel main sensor and an f/1.65 lens as the focal point. The phone may have a 16-megapixel selfie camera for selfies and video calls. Wi-Fi, 5G, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port for charging are all planned as connectivity options. The Poco phone could have a fingerprint scanner on the edge, a 5,065mAh battery with 67W fast charging support, and IP53 dust and water resistance.
