The Realme X7, powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 800U processor, has just launched in India. Along with the high refresh rate panel, quad cameras, and more, the Realme X7 Pro was also introduced. Realme has kept the price of the X7 below Rs 22,000 and it goes up against the Mi 10i from Xiaomi, which was released earlier this year, at its asking price. When it comes to the looks and even the functions they give, the Realme X7 and Mi 10i are poles apart. That said, both of these phones are available in the same budget range, which could trigger doubts for individuals looking to purchase a new phone. Compared to the Mi 10i, here we take a look at how the Realme X7 fares.

REALME X7 VS MI 10I: PRICING

For 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, the Realme X7 is priced starting at Rs 19,999 and Rs 21,999 for the 8GB + 128GB version. The Mi 10i is available in three variants for 6 GB + 64 GB storage options starting at Rs 20,999, followed by the 128 GB storage version priced at Rs 21,999. The third version is priced at Rs 23,999 with 8GB + 128Gb of storage.

REALME X7 VS MI 10I: DESIGN AND DISPLAY

As it has a plastic design with a reflective finish, the Realme X7 has a thin and light design. It measures 8.1 millimeters and is 179 grams in weight. Two colors are available for Realme X7: Nebula and Space Silver. On the other hand, the Mi 10i measures 9 millimeters thick and weighs 214 grams. It has a back panel protected by Gorilla Glass 5 that ensures reliability against periodic wear and tear.

A rectangular camera module is tucked away in the upper left corner of the Realme X7 while the camera module on the Mi 10i is mounted in the upper center at the rear.

Realme X7 features a Super AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution measuring 6.4 inches along with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera in the corner. As for the Mi 10i, it has a larger 6.67-inch LCD display that supports a refresh rate of 120Hz and has a Full HD+ resolution as well. In addition, the screen on the Mi 10 is topped with a Gorilla Glass 5 surface. The punch-hole cutout on the Mi 10i is also centrally positioned at the top for the selfie camera.

REALME X7 VS MI 10I: UNDER THE HOOD

Realme X7 marks the debut of an octa-core CPU and Mali-G57 GPU in India with the MediaTek Dimensity 800U chip. The CPU has two main Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4 GHz, while six power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores operating at 2.0 GHz. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor with an octa-core CPU and Adreno 619 GPU is powered by the Mi 10i. The CPU has two Kryo 570 main cores operating at 2.2GHz, followed by six 1.8GHz clocked Kryo 570 power-efficient cores. The Realme X7 has up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage, while the Mi 10i has up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage to choose from. Both phones are fitted with stereo speakers and an in-screen optical fingerprint sensor is also available for the Realme X7. A physical fingerprint reader situated on the side is used by the Mi 10i.

REALME X7 VS MI 10I: CAMERAS

On the rear, the Realme X7 has a triple camera setup consisting of a main 64MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 119-degree field-of-view 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera. A 16MP selfie camera is located within the punch-hole cutout on the front. The rear cameras can record up to 30FPS at 4K UHD with EIS support.

The Mi 10i has a quad-camera configuration headlined by an f/1.8 aperture 108MP main camera followed by a 120-degree field of view 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The rear cameras are capable of recording up to 30FPS in 4K UHD and support EIS, too. There’s a 16MP selfie camera in the front with an f/2.5 aperture.

REALME X7 VS MI 10I: BATTERY

A 4,310mAh battery that supports 50W fast charging is equipped with the Realme X7. Realme states that the battery can be fully charged in 47 minutes using the in-the-box supplied 65W adapter. The Mi 10i, meanwhile, is equipped with a slightly larger 4,820mAh battery that supports fast charging of 33W. Xiaomi claims that in 58 minutes, the phone can go from 0-100 percent.
