Realme Narzo 50A Prime Launches in India With 50MP Triple Cameras and 5,000mAh Battery

Realme Narzo 50A Prime has been launched in India as the company’s first phone to come without a charger in the box. The Chinese brand is following the footsteps of Apple and Samsung, and the reason stated by the brand is also the same – protecting the environment. Realme Narzo 50A Prime is a slightly toned-down version of the Narzo 50A that came last year.

The latest Narzo series phone features a slightly bigger 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen, a 12nm Unisoc T612 octa-core processor, and packs a 5,000mAh battery with an 18W fast charging phone. The Narzo 50A Prime boasts a 50MP triple camera setup on the back, an 8MP selfie shooter, and features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Realme Narzo 50A Prime sports a 6.6-inch IPS LCD panel with a FullHD+ resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and 600nits of peak brightness. The panel has a 90.7% screen-to-body ratio and a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera.

Under the hood, the Realme phone is powered by a Unisoc 612 chipset, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB inbuilt storage. It also has a dedicated microSD card slot for up to 1TB of storage expansion.

In terms of optics, the Narzo 50A Prime features a triple camera setup on the back. It includes a 50MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, a macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a B&W lens with f/2.8 aperture. The brand has not revealed the megapixel count for the two sensors. On the front, there’s an 8MP snapper for selfies and video calls. The smartphone boots Android 11 OS with Realme UI R Edition at the top.

The handset is backed by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging over a USB Type-C port. It features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and supports face unlocking too. The Narzo 50A Prime ships with connectivity features like 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Realme Narzo 50A Prime Price in India and Availability

Realme Narzo 50A price in India has been set at Rs 11,499 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It also comes in a 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant for Rs 12,499. The smartphone comes in two colour options: Flash Black and Flash Blue. It will go on sale for the first time in India on April 28. As an introductory offer, Realme is offering a Rs 300 coupon that can be used while purchasing the Narzo 50A Prime via the company’s official website.

The newly-announced Realme Narzo 50A Prime appears to be a toned-down version of the Narzo 50A. The Prime model is powered by an Unsic T612 processor, whereas the Narzo 50A is driven by an Helio G85 SoC. Both are octa-core processors built on a 12nm process. However, the Helio G85 SoC is slightly better as it has a higher clock speed.

Both the phones have a 50MP primary camera on the rear side. The selfie camera resolution also remains unchanged. Another noticeable difference is that the Narzo 50A has a rear-side fingerprint scanner, which is replaced with a side-mounted one in its Prime model.

Realme Narzo 50A has a 6,000mAh battery, while the Narzo 50A Prime sits at a capacity of 5,000mAh. Both the device supports 18W fast charging. The Prime model has a slightly bigger screen size.
