In recent live images, a prototype of the Realme GT Master Edition was seen with Realme’s MagDart charger. MagDart is similar to Apple’s MagSafe and follows a nearly replicated design. Steve Hemmerstoffer popularly known as @OnLeaks tipped 91 Mobiles that Realme will be expanding MagDart capabilities to other devices starting with the Realme GT Master edition. Hemmerstoffer also shared some leaked images of the device with MagDart connected.
The images clearly show the replication of MagSafe. We can see a circular 15W coil charger and also a 50W MagDart charger. None of this information has been announced or teased by Realme yet, and it is unclear whether these products will be launched. It is very likely that this is true since Realme has initially only announced MagDart or Realme Flash, which is just a concept phone.
As for the Realme GT Master Edition phone itself, it is expected to be launched on August 18th along with a GT “flagship”. It is supposed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 SoC, and 8GB RAM with 256GB internal storage. It will be powered by a massive 4,300mAh battery and supports 65W fast charging.
The display will be a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel at a fluid 120Hz refresh rate. The rear should have a 64MP triple camera array while the information for the front is still unclear. The only difference between the GT Master and the flagship edition is a difference in the SoC, with the flagship getting a Snapdragon 888.
Realme could be onto a real winner with MagDart, by offering magnetic wireless charging at high speeds, for a cheap price. It will be interesting to see which devices get it first, and some more information about this new MagDart charging!
