Realme Buds 2 Neo Review: Silly Upgrade

The team at Oyprice recently tested the Realme Buds 2 Neo and here are our thoughts.

At the price of Rs 500, there are plenty of wired earphone options to choose from. Brands like Realme, Xiaomi, Boat, etc offering their products that sound acceptable enough to fit under the price point of Rs 500.

Talking about Realme, they previously introduced Realme Buds 2 which were appreciated by many geeks and buyers.

After Realme Buds 2, the company now introduced Realme buds 2 Neo at the same price bracket of Rs 500, so the team at OyPrice planned to review it.

Realme Buds 2 Neo Build and Design

The design of Realme buds 2 Neo is a little different when compared to the previous Realme buds 2 but overall the experience was comfortable enough. The wire is similar to the buds 2 where we are getting typical wire material with pattern finish which is a differentiative factor when compared to the market.

The headphone jack is now in L shape configuration unlike the previous gen with a simple straight plug, and this L shape helps while gaming session and overall device holding posture. The buds come with a play pause button only whereas the previous gen used to have a volume increase and decrease button.

Realme Buds 2 Neo Sound Experience

Well, we thought this might sound at least similar or better than buds 2 but we have a mixed reaction on this. The bass is good and the treble is fine too but when it comes to mids, it’s not supportive to bass or treble properly because of which the sound experience was a little mixup. Either it’s too bassy or too much trebly without a proper balance.

Realme Buds 2 Neo Opinion

It’s a budget earphone where we shouldn’t be expecting much but overall when compared to Buds 2, we were at least expecting better output or at least a cheaper price tag.
