More than a year ago, Realme had first announced the Realme Band. Now, its successor, Realme Band 2 has launched. The band offers better features for the price of USD 40 it comes in. This is directly going to compete with Xiaomi’s Mi Smart Band 6 which is priced similarly.

The Realme Band 2, looks more like a smartwatch than a fitness band. It sports a 1.4-inch (3.5cm) touch display with a resolution of 167×320 pixels. The highest brightness is 500 nits. You get to choose from 50 watch faces and if that isn’t enough you can set a custom watch face.

The straps for the band also offer great designs to compliment whatever you decide to wear. The Realme Band 2 weighs in at 27.3g which is quite reasonable for the design language the smart band comes in. The Realme Band 2 comes with a 204mAh battery and Realme claims 12 days battery life.

Sensors, connectivity and other features

Real-time heart rate monitoring is made possible on the Realme Band 2 due to the power-efficient GH3011 sensor. Another important sensor present here is the 3-axis accelerometer. You can also track your Blood Oxygen (SpO2) levels.

But if your sole purpose of getting a fitness tracker is to monitor these medical levels, we strongly suggest you get actual medical tools since they will always be more reliable.

The Realme Band 2 connects through the Realme link app and has Bluetooth 5.1. It is supported on devices running Android 5.1 and iOS 11 and above. The Realme Band 2 offers other features like sleep detection, step count, calorie, water reminders, etc. Women’s health tracking is another feature we have seen on the Mi Smart Band 6 which is present here. There are a total of 90 sport modes available. It is also 50M water resistant making it ideal for swimming activities.

Smart AloT control offers you control over other Realme AloT devices right from your Realme Band 2, all you have to do is link your devices together. Other features like controlling your music, checking the weather, camera, event reminders, etc., are available too.

Price

The Realme Band 2 is available only in Malaysia as of now and you can grab one for RM 169 which roughly converts to USD 40. Converting this price to the Indian rupees makes it Rs 3000 which is less than what the Mi Smart Band 6 is going for at Rs 3,499. We still have to wait for official Indian pricing. At this price, it sure does seem like a great offering.
