Realme 8s 5G Could Launch As The First Dimensity 810 SoC-Powered Phone

Yesterday, Taiwanese chipmaker MediaTek announced two new mid-range 5G chipsets – Dimensity 810 and Dimensity 920. The Dimensity 920 SoC is more powerful than Dimensity 810 chipset. Hours after MediaTek announced these new chipsets, Madhav Seth, CEO of Realme India and Europe took to Twitter to ask whether users want Realme to launch the first Dimensity 810 SoC-powered phone. It hints that the company has a D810 SoC-powered phone in the pipeline.

The tweet does not reveal anything about the phone, but a 91Mobile report claims that Realme 8s will be powered by the newly-launched Dimensity 810 chipset. The last episode of Ask Madhav adds some weight to the report as Madhav announced that Realme 8s and Realme 8i will soon debut in India. Let’s now look at the leaked Realme 8s renders and specifications.

The bottom portion houses a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microphone, a USB Type-C port, and a speaker grille. The renders reveal that the phone has a purple color option. It will also come in more colour options, which will be revealed at the launch.
