In the Indian market, the Realme 8 5G will get a new RAM + storage configuration. The phone was released in April of this year with storage options of 4GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB. A new 4GB + 64GB storage configuration has been added to the lineup. Aside from the storage capacity change, the phone’s specifications remain unchanged. The MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC powers the Realme 8 5G, which has a 6.5-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
Specifications for the Realme 8 5G
The 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) display on the Realme 8 5G has a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. There’s the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, which can support up to 8GB of LPDDR4x memory. The Realme 8 5G comes with 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage as standard, with a dedicated slot for microSD card expansion (up to 1TB).
A 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 primary sensor, a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor, and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor make up the smartphone’s triple rear camera setup. The Realme 8 5G has a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies and video chats.
The Realme 8 5G has 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port for connectivity. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor on the side. Realme has included a 5,000mAh battery with 18W Quick Charge technology for fast charging.
Realme 8 5G price and availability
The new 4GB + 64GB storage model of the Realme 8 5G costs Rs. 13,999. Supersonic Blue and Supersonic Black will be the color options for this new variant. Starting at 12 p.m. on May 18, the new configuration will be available for purchase on Realme.com (noon).
The 4GB + 128GB storage option costs Rs 14,999, while the 8GB + 128GB storage option costs Rs 16,999. It’s also available on Flipkart and in brick-and-mortar stores.
